Darla Meeker also has served as editor of the Healdsburg
Museum’s semi-annual historical publication.
During her tenure as a festival coordinator and performing arts
director for a
leading regional cultural arts center, she presented such diverse
talent as Lucinda Williams,
Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Marcel Marceau, Julian Lage, Gary
Soto, Wynton Marsalis,
Lois Lowry, the Peking Acrobats, Tommy "Yo-Yo Man"Smothers,
Julia Butterfly Hill,
Charles Schulz’s Snoopy, Smithsonian Institution guest
speakers,
and numerous national & international dance troupes.
She was also the founding director of Healdsburg's
Tri-Schools' Walk for the Arts, a community-wide fundraiser
that brought visual, performing, and literary arts programs
into Healdsburg's three elementary schools.
An inveterate walker who loves the element of discovery
in every walk she
